What is Radiant Counseling?
Radiant Counseling exists to help individuals and couples apply God’s Word to real-life struggles in ways that lead to healing, freedom, hope, and renewed purpose. Through confidential, one-on-one counseling sessions, our biblical counselors - certified by the American Association of Christian Counselors - come alongside those seeking support for emotional, relational, or spiritual challenges.
Our approach is rooted in a biblical worldview and shaped by discipleship. We believe lasting change happens as truth, grace, and practical care are woven together in a safe, compassionate, and Christ-centered environment.
Radiant Counseling does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

How Do I Get Started?
The first step is to schedule a get-to-know-you session with one of our counselors. These confidential conversations allow us to better understand your needs and determine how we can best support you. In some cases, that may mean being matched with a counselor; in others, it may involve connecting you with helpful community resources or referring you to a trusted licensed provider.
Radiant Counseling is a biblical counseling ministry of Radiant Church. While our counselors are not licensed therapists, they are certified through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and have completed extensive classroom and online training in areas such as anxiety, stress, emotional health, and relationship conflict.
Our counseling model is centered on intensive discipleship, offering personal, practical support grounded in scripture and shaped by grace.

What happens in a typical session?
What happens in a typical session?
Sessions are conversational and client led. You share your concerns, and together we explore patterns, emotions, spiritual questions, and practical next steps. Biblical truth and prayer may be incorporated according to your comfort level and faith background. You may also receive suggested exercises or reflection work between sessions.
Sessions are typically 55 to 60 minutes and are available in person at our Pleasant Hill, Iowa campus or online through secure video. Many people begin weekly. Frequency may decrease as progress is made.

The fee is $110 per session. A free 30-minute introductory consultation is available so you can determine whether this is a good fit before beginning. Payment may be made by cash, check, or card.
Radiant Counseling does not bill insurance. Because this is Biblical pastoral counseling and not licensed clinical therapy, sessions are not submitted to insurance providers and do not become part of a medical record. Referrals to licensed counselors who accept insurance can be provided upon request.
